Weather and Environment
Contact: Rita Tarron
Meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday, 10am at the John Dony Centre. It aims to learn about how the weather works, the impact it has on us and the world we live in; the impact we have on the world and its weather, resources and other inhabitants. No expertise or equipment is needed.
Members take turns to choose a topic and give a presentation, to which the group all add input. The presentation can be DVD’s, slides etc from the Resource Centre or Power Point, photographs etc produced by member or just a talk. The meetings are very informal, no-one need feel under pressure and everyone joins in the general discussions.
In summer months field trips are arranged.
