Meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday, 2.00 – 4.00pm at a Member’s House.
Its aims are to study the history of transport from the horse to space travel, including agricultural, commercial, industrial and military; cycles; cars; trams and trains; from balloons to space travel; from sail to ocean liner.
Visits are arranged to Transport Heritage museums etc.
Willingness to lead some sessions is appreciated.
Previous topics: from the horse to modern tractors; History of the Tram including Luton’s Tram system and a visit to the National Tram Museum.
