Grange & District

Gardening

The Gardening Group cares for a stretch of the raised beds on the Promenade Gardens on behalf of Grange Civic Society, from whom we gratefully receive some money for new plants etc. We are also very grateful to receive spare plants from members' gardens when these are suitable for the promenade conditions. The stretch of garden we look after lies between Grange railway station and the signal arm half-way to the underpass to the town centre. We garden every Monday morning between 9.30 a.m. and lunch time, weather permitting, although we do give ourselves a winter break in December and January.

There are currently 4 active members of the gardening group and new volunteers are always welcome. There is no charge and tools can be provided. Alternatively, come along and encourage the workers! Contact Brian Lewis, Co-ordinator, on 015395 34017.
