Geology and Landscape

The group is aimed anyone, especially beginners.  The group has an active programme of field trips and seminars looking at Geology, and Landscape change, including some related industrial archaeology.  The focus is mainly the Cartmel Peninsula, the Southern Lakes, and Arnside & Silverdale

Meetings are currently held in the Grange Victoria Hall, Council Chamber at 2pm on the 1st Wednesday of the month, although there will be meetings and visits elsewhere including local villages & locations, and special sites of interest such as Humphrey Head. 

This is a friendly and informal 'learn by experience' group. Prior knowledge of Geology and Landscape is not required.
