Grange & District

Wine Appreciation

The group normally meets at 7.30pm in the Grange Institute on the 3rd Friday of every month September-June inclusive. The cost per meeting is dependant on meeting theme/content.

The Wine Appreciation Group is for u3a members who have a love of wine and enjoy a wine tasting with a chance to learn more about the wines as they taste them. The group is presented with wines that we might not otherwise choose, often selected with a linking theme. Members are presented with facts about the wines, the region and the country of origin as they taste and discuss the selected drinks.

Once or twice a year the group enjoys a “special” presentation of higher priced wines with a more luxury and/or fun theme.
