Digital Photography
The group meets in the Grange Institute at 2.00 pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month (apart from a break in July and August) although we sometimes go out for photo shoots in the better weather. Each session is largely self contained and the forthcoming programme is formulated by members. We have a wide range of knowledge and experience from relative beginners to members with substantial knowledge of digital photography. We cover matters like camera controls and settings, image composition, taking photographs of different subjects and editing images using computers. Some meetings are held as workshop sessions where the more experienced members help others. New members of any level of experience are always welcome.
If you wish to join us please bring your camera along with you. For more information please contact Malcolm Kimber, Co-ordinator by e-mail via the message button at the top right of this page
The group carries out some longer term projects. It did one about Grange for the U3A’s 20th anniversary which included a music soundtrack. Some, images from it are shown below. A current project is about the promenade at Grange which will include historic photos, recent ones including ones showing the renovation being undertaken and images of the restoration when complete.
