This group is open to all although some trips may be limited to about 20 people, so register your interest early! The group usually meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month to visit local places of historical or other interest either by car or public transport. The group has a programme of visits (see the programme LINK to the right of this page) with a different leader from the group co-ordinating each trip and arranging guides in order to share responsibility.

Tuesday April 14th 2020 the Local Explorers will visit a working museum at Stott Park Bobbin Mill for a different view of the industrial heritage of the Lake District when water was the primary source of power and all materials were available locally.
