Already a member and want to join a group?? JOIN ONLINE!

Existing members can now join a group or join a waiting list online! Check up on all group vacancy availability below on the Members Portal. You will need to validate yourself with personal details. If you join a group that has vacancies the Group Leader will receive an email message.
If the group is full, you will be added to the waiting list and the group Leader will be messaged

  • + Go to this link ==> Join a group online
  • ++++++++ TO JOIN A GROUP - MEMBERS ONLY ++++++++
  • This is the easiest place to join a group. If you click on the above link you will be taken to the Beacon Members' Portal
  • You will need to validate yourself with your name; membership number; email address, and postcode
  • You will then see the list of groups with a brief description; contact details and whether the group is open or full with a waiting list
  • If you opt to join a group the group leader will get an email message, even if you go on to a waiting list!

A number of groups have waiting lists and for a membership of our size we very much need and welcome more groups.
To start a group need not be demanding. You do not need to be knowledgeable about the subject – the “leader” learns along with the rest. On the other hand you may have skills and knowledge we could benefit from.
If you could start a group please contact the Groups Coordinator (see ‘Contact’ above). Alternatively, click on this link ==> Guidance for Group Leaders

NEW FROM THE THIRD AGE TRUST
We are being encouraged to use MOOCs. You can find out all about it by following this link MOOCs - Online courses - or alternatively follow this link to find out even more ==> MOOCS - from the Third Age Trust
Or to get an opinion from a time-served MOOCs student read the document above right Moocs review
