NEW GROUPS - Started or planned

Offers to set up new groups can be sent to our Groups Coordinator on groups@eastgrinsteadu3a.co.uk. We need a volunteer group leader before we can proceed with setting up any new group. If there is a subject or activity you would like to try,why not set up your own group?
We are planning two new groups for the New Year.

1) FRENCH CONVERSATION
Weekly sessions on a Monday 10-11.30 a.m. with a provisional start date of 22nd January. To be held at the East Grinstead Museum. Session fee (dependent on numbers) to cover venue hire.
These sessions will be for members who have some basic knowledge of French and the focus will be on pronunciation. The group will be facilitated by member Judy Lilley who is an experienced language teacher.
2) WALKING FOOTBALL
It is hoped to start a Walking Football group at a local sports centre depending on sufficient interest. Day and times to be arranged.
Walking Football is a team sport which can be played indoors or outdoors. It offers many health benefits and is suitable for men and women of all ages and all levels of experience, including beginners.
Member Guy Wyatt has kindly offered to help set up the group but would welcome any experienced players who may wish to assist in the initial set-up and coaching.
We hope to offer further groups during the year. If you have an interest you would like to share with other members and would be prepared to help set up a new group, please contact me to discuss.
