Welcome to East Grinstead u3a!
LEARN, LAUGH, LIVE!
u3as are open to all people no longer in full time employment. We give them opportunities to keep active, to meet like-minded people and to continue to use and develop their knowledge and skills. We pursue learning not for qualifications, but for enjoyment. Activities are organised by the members. Sources of information on which members may base their contributions might include the Internet, Public Libraries, East Grinstead Museum
East Grinstead u3a began in 1995. It has a membership (2021-22) of 617 (as of 29th October 2021), with more applications in the pipeline, and has 45 groups of various sizes catering for a wide range of interests.(See Groups button above).
East Grinstead is in the High Weald a few miles north of Ashdown Forest. It is in West Sussex, but right on the border of Surrey and very close to East Sussex and Kent. East Grinstead u3a draws its membership from all four counties.

IMPACT OF COVID
We despaired once the second peak of COVID-19 infection struck. But things have continued to look up. Before “Freedom Day” 12 interest groups were meeting online using Zoom. And now that local halls and community centres are open again we are ready to hit the ground running.
