All Season Walking Group (ASWG)

Meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, routes will be ‘circular’ between 4 & 6 miles, expected to last 2 to 3 hours.
Should it be necessary to change the day / date from the 2nd Tuesday, ample notice will be given.
The start / finish will often be a pub, but where it is not, a place of refreshment will be fitted into the route. A menu will be emailed with the joining instructions. Members are encouraged to pre-order lunch, when attendance is confirmed. If members circumstances change it is their responsibility to cancel pre-ordered food.
Members should be reasonably fit, have suitable ‘walking’ clothing and boots. (see advice on this website) Be capable of negotiating stiles and able to maintain a pace to meet the distance and time scales mentioned, in all weathers. Our walks, over varying terrain, may encounter steep inclines, mud, and livestock.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, subject to guidance that can be found on this website. It is a membership requirement to complete a GDPR form and sign a ‘Disclaimer’, absolving the Walk Leader and / or the U3A from liability should any loss or accident occur – thus being responsible for any Personal Accident occurrences and for the safe-keeping of belongings.
Cost is an annual £2.00 membership plus the standard 50p U3A Group event attendance fee
For ease of administration the group year runs from the September enrolment day. Further, if the fee is not paid within 3 months the member will be deemed to have voluntarily left the group.
The annual fee will be collected on the first walk you attend, back dated to September.
