The science group will meet monthly.
You do not have to be an expert to join our group, just an interest in science will do.Some of us have worked in a scientific field; others not. Even if we worked with science we may not know much about other areas of science, so don't be put off. We just want to keep up to date with what is going on in the world of science.
Sometimes we will meet in a member's home to discuss issues of science in the news or of interest to members, usually with a bottle of wine or coffee, etc and refreshments.
More often we hope to go on visits or to lectures of scientific interest.
Members share in organising events
Topics will reflect the interests of members and hopefully vary across the sciences-physics, astronomy, chemistry, biology, geology, psychology.
Keep the 3rd Tuesday evenings free in your diary for discussion meetings if we don't get a visit organised. Visits will usually be in the daytime whenever it is possible, and if there is a visit, there will not be an evening meeting.
