Wine Tasting
The Wine Tasting Group meets regularly every few weeks on a Friday evening. Each evening has a theme which can be based on countries, regions, grape varietals or novelties such as the "Cricket World Cup"! We also have the occasional mixed bag and blind tasting event. At each evening there is a light-hearted team quiz so that everyone has something to talk about apart from the wines!
At each tasting several red and white wines are sampled, ending often with a dessert wine and/or starting with a sparkling wine and accompanied by tasty nibbles. No knowledge of wine is required. The emphasis is on social drinking with a little learning on the way. The group is very friendly with events usually held in members homes and it is not necessary to sign up for more than one event.
