Ukulele for beginners
This group was formed in March 2019 and was aimed at complete beginners. Three beginners groups have been establishment both of which ran for about 4 to 6 months. The group normally stops once the members have developed to a level to move on to the main Ukulele group that meets on Wednesdays
As at March 2024, the 3rd group has been stopped and players have moved on to the main session. There are currently 2 requests for membership. If 2 or 3 more are received than a new beginners group will be established
New members The group is aimed at complete beginners though experienced players are welcome to attend. Experienced players may have to accept some interruption in playing whilst tuition is given to less experienced players. Complete beginners require no prior music knowledge. A loan Ukulele may also be available
The group works closely with the main UKE3A group, both using the same songbook, and joining the main group in a few gigs. Members of the UkE3A will also attend occasionally -and are very welcome.
