Guitar (Play Guitar)
This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 10.00 am thru 12.00 at the Birchmeadow Centre Broseley (we can access the room from 9.45).
The group is called "Play Guitar" and is open both to beginners and experienced acoustic guitarists. Complete beginners may find the music challenging but are nevertheless very welcome. . The sessions will involve playing and singing together as a group, and a wide range of music will be covered. We already have one bass guitarist and one electric guitarist in the group, as such we can only accommodate new members on acoustic guitars
As at January 2023 we have one group of 12 members, which is as big as we want to get for one group. New member applications are still welcomed as we have the opportunity to overspill into to second room if needed.

Costs: The room is booked at cost of £17 for 2 hours, accordingly attendees are asked to make a contribution to cover the booking costs:usually £2/3 per session. If we collect too much then this will allow a kitty to be developed to support the group in the event of weeks when we have few attendees. The record pf payments and receipts is maintained the group leader and it is reported to the committee on an annual basis.
Music: most of the group members use dropbox to gain access to the songbook. Details of dropbox will be given to new members at their first visit. Further details of Dropbox are given in the link shown opposite
Gigs: we do a few promotional and charity gigs throughout the year which all members are invited to join.
