Exploring Churchdown

| The Fire Station: Report of 21st March 2024 visit |
Our meeting on the 21st March took us to the fire station in Churchdown. We were taken around by Sam who leads White watch team. He told us lots of interesting facts about their work after showing us around the building. We saw a brief display of a dummy being rescued and hoisted. The photo is of five members of the group with the team, a very enjoyable afternoon, with thanks to the staff of the Fire Station

Butterfly Garden at Dundry Garden Centre: Report of 16 March visit
The Butterfly Garden is situated next to the Dundry Garden Centre in Bamfurlong Lane.
We spent the afternoon visiting the Butterfly Garden today and enjoyed a wonderful tour given by Chris Evans, illustrating the work the team does supporting adults with various disabilities.
We had a wonderful and fun afternoon.
Nature in Art: Report of 16 February visit
Nature in Art was the perfect place for 7 of us to drool over the Wildlife photographer of the Year,
the Gloucestershire Botanical Art and Jamie Boots, wildlife graphic events. Plus of course the garden
and the chance to have tea/cake and a chat with the director Simon Trapnell. All very enjoyable!
Nature in Art (a charity in our vicinity) tell me that they have a pro rata system now for membership,
this would be valid up to 31 August 2023, the concessions rate just £11.25!
How many times could you visit, well as many as you want!
