Day Trips
This group page is dedicated to showing the details of planned day trips and outings.
These trips are organised by the Walking Group and if you would like to reserve a seat please contact either Mary White as group leader or Paul Grierson details on the Churchdown u3a website. Once sufficient interest is shown the coaches will be confirmed and payments will then be collected at the monthly meetings or by arrangement. We look forward to your support.

| Tuesday, 21st May | Portishead and Clevedon |

| Details | The trip is a three-hour visit to Clevedon and then on to Portishead. |

| Details | Great seaside town, steam trains, harbour. |
| . | Walkers: The walk on offer is up North Hill along the South West walk to a picnic spot overlooking Porlock Bay. |
| . | National trust Members: The coach will take you to Dunster Castle and grounds. |
| Tuesday, 9th July | Pen-y-Fan and Brecon |

| Details | Walk on Pen-y-fan and visit to Brecon. |
| . | The coach will drop walkers at the Pont ar daf car park and take others on to Brecon. |
| . | Walkers will be picked up and returned to Brecon for refreshments and then return. |
| Friday, 9th August | Trip to Shrewsbury |

| Details | Visit the famous flower festival and Shrewsbury. |
| . | The famous flower festival is on this day. Tickets can be bought online at a cost of £20 or bought on the day at £30. |
| . | Look at the website as a lot is available on the day. |
| . | Shrewsbury is also an historic town and well worth a visit should you not wish to walk or visit the flower show. |
| . | To allow ample time to visit, coach will depart at approximately 5:00pm. |
