Bridge For All
Hello, I’m Dave Bebbington, please use the email message link on the right to contact me with any enquires that you may have regarding our group.
The name of our group is ‘Bridge for All’ (the emphasis being on the ALL) and we have a balance of learners, improvers and experienced players. So, whether you are a complete beginner, an improver, wanting to return to the game, a club player, or indeed just want to play bridge socially, there’s a place for you in our group.
Our group is lucky enough to include a number of very competent club players who are happy to mentor beginners and improvers, such as myself. On a personal note, I thank them for their patience when pointing out ways of improving my own game, with only the occasional roll of the eyes when I do something stupid!
We want to encourage beginners and learners into our group; surely that’s what the u3a is all about after all. We are able to run learners’ tables for beginners leaving our more competent players to play at their own level. So come on, you’ve no excuse, give it a go!
Bridge is a great game, it gets the old grey cells working, it’s absorbing, at times frustrating, can become addictive, but for my money the only card game worth playing.

The group is open to all members of Churchdown u3a or another u3a which has a reciprocal arrangement with us.
