A 6-day holiday is planned from 25 September 2024 through Woods Travel. The cost will be £745, plus £75 single room supplement, or £125 sole use of double room supplement.
We will be staying at Shap Wells Hotel, Shap, near Penrith in the Lake District. This price includes all travel including pick up and drop off from your door, lunch on the outward journey, half board accommodation and all entry fees including 2 boat cruises, one on Ullswater and one on Lake Windermere. Also a ride on the Settle to Carlisle railway, crossing the Ribblehead Viaduct, a visit to Wensleydale Creamery for cheese tasting and Holker Hall and Gardens
Full details will be available at the Information Morning on 18 January. Shap Wells Hotel is a Victorian hotel, there are some steps and some rooms are accessible by lift. Please mention to Woods when making your booking if you require proximity to a lift. The hotel is situated in wooded countryside, with options for walks where you are likely to see red squirrels.
