Ornithology
Happily, the ornithology group is getting back to normal, with successful visits to South Barn, which is between Seaford and the Cuckmere valley, and to Warnham LNR by Horsham. We have one further visit planned for this year, and that is to the Henfield Levels in December, where hopefully we may see some winter thrushes, as they often go there to feast on the Hawthorn and Blackthorn berries that grow either side of the disused railway line. When we went there in 2018 we had excellent views of a Short-eared Owl. The Programme for 2022 is already prepared, and with luck we hope to be able to have our much delayed holiday to Poole Harbour next May!
