Family History
We are an informal group assisting members with research into their family history and family tree. Most meetings have a topic of interest to family history research with presentation by a member as well as research.
Subjects this time: History of Education; Ancestry Card Catalogue; Usage of Leather in 1800s and 1900s; Wind and Watermills
We meet at the Cherry Tree Centre in Fairfield Road, Burgess Hill

Want to start your Family Tree but don’t know where to find the information. Already have a Family Tree but want to learn more. Then get in touch with the Family History Group.
Generation Chart: Go back two generations and you have four grandparents, your mother and father’s parents. Go back further, say five generations, and you have 32 great, great, great grandparents. Go back 10 generations and you have over a thousand. Just imagine going back 25 generations!
