ARCHITECTURE GROUP. Meet usually 4th Thursday.

This is a group for anyone who enjoys looking at, and finding out about, buildings.

Venue: St Michael’s Church Hall, (the small hall at the rear), junction of Canongate/Walkergate, Alnwick, 2 to 4 pm.

Thursday 27th April The English Country House, A look at Mark Girouard’s classic book on Life in the English Country House. Described by Peter Carter St Michael’s Church Hall, 2 pm to 4 pm
Thursday 25th MayOuting to Kirkwhelpington and Hartburn. An afternoon trip to look at two churches. Hartburn is particularly noted for the 18th century tombstones—which featured strongly in Mark Hatton’s talk to the U3A Monthly Meeting last November. OUTING – details in due course
Thursday 22nd June The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Architecture - Quirky buildings and Brutalist architecture. Presentation by Alan and Maureen Sayers St Michael’s Church Hall, 2 pm to 4 pm
