Thursday 27th June Outing to Seaton Delaval Hall and Tynemouth Castle and Priory (Joint outing with History Group). Seaton Delaval Hall, designed by Sir John Vanburgh and begun in 1718, is undergoing a major restoration and we will be able to see and hear about the work. Thursday 26th April Usher College. From 1808 until 2011, the College was a training college for priests. Some of the original building survives but it was much enlarged in the 19th Century mainly by Pugin. Coach leaves at 9.30 am and back in Alnwick at about 4.30 pm

Tuesday 3rd July Dalmeny House (Joint outing with History Group). Dalmeny House was built in 1814-17 and designed by William Wilkins in his grand style like his, better known, London’s National Gallery. Details to be arranged.

Thursday 25th May Newhailes (near Musselburgh, Lothian)A neo-Palladian villa, dating from 1686, with magnificent rococo interiors with Chinese wallpaper, Italian fireplaces and golden eagles. Coach leaves at 9.30 am and back in Alnwick at about 6.30 pm
Thursday 22nd June Rokeby Park (near Barnard Castle)Another neo-Palladian villa, this one begun in 1725 and designed by itsthen owner. Much 18th century decoration and an ochre coloured exterior._ Coach leaves at 9.30 am and back in Alnwick at about 6 pm
