Philosophy
Days: 1st & 3rd (not 5th) Mondays 2:30pm - 4pm
Venue: TBC
Convenor - Graham Robinson
Telephone - 01947 229048
Start Date: 18th September
Terms Dates - 18th Sept, 2nd Oct, 16th Oct, 6th Nov, 20th Nov, 4th Dec and 18th December.
We will meet the 1st and 3rd (but *not* the 5th) Monday of each month.
We will explore a range of topics from both contemporary and classical philosophy. The topics are intended to be interesting, understandable and participative. New members are very welcome.
Our first meeting of the new term will be the 19th September when we will look at the work of the contemporary philosopher Peter Singer. He is a thorough-going utilitarian (we will briefly reprise utilitarianism/consequentialism to bring people up to speed). His views are considered by many as being quite controversial.
Future sessions will be led by the interests of the group.
Hope to see you in real flesh and blood (I will not be running a parallel Zoom session).
Drop in at registration day (or email me at graham.c.robinson@gmail.com) if you have any questions.
