Sunday Lunch Club
TSUNDAY LUNCH CLUB FOR SINGLES
The Sunday lunch club for singles, which meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month continues to try different venues in the area. We have had a few changes of members in recent months.
In August seven of us met at The Prince Leopold at Upton Lovell. The pub gave us one of the side rooms which made our lunch quite private and quiet. We all enjoyed the meal
In September ten of us went to the Red Lion at Heytesbury. This was also enjoyed by everyone.
In October nine of us went to the Three Daggers at Edington. The main problem with this pub is there are a lot of stairs which was a bit of a problem as one of our members struggles with stairs. We will have to cross this one off our future list. The meal was good, service was a bit slow and they put a 10% service charge on the bill.
In November we are going to the Three Horseshoes at Chapmanslade. They prefer groups to pre-order their main course, which we have managed to do as they sent the menu before our October meal, and also most members are on email.
