Warminster

Creative Writing

We have two groups; one led by Robert (creativewriting@warmu3a.uk) the second by Tony (creativewriting2@warmu3a.uk). The groups take a variety of approaches, either a suggested theme, or an opening line. A wide range of writing styles within the groups adds to the variety of written output! Suggested storylines last year included “The lost right to liberty” and an opening line of “As they opened the door they saw a bare room with just a box in the centre...”

Recently, five of the members were asked to submit two stories each which were recorded for broadcasting on Warminster Community Radio! New members are always welcome… they say everyone has a book inside them (or even if it’s just a poem or some prose) so if you're interested in joining, please get in touch with either Robert or Tony.

Please note that all groups are for u3a members We are a group of 300+ members who participate in over 30 varied range of social, educational and well-being topics. If you are no longer in full time employment and would like to join, why not come along to one of our monthly meetings and talks (last Wednesday of every month and meet a few people?) or contact members (e-mail: memsec@warmu3a.uk)
