Garden Group
The benefits of gardens and gardening have been acknowledged by a greater number of people; there has been a surge in interest in the subject and a growing awareness of its effects on our wellbeing.
The subject covers a vast range of topics, meeting in the Free Church Hall on Chapel Hill on the second Monday of the month from 2.00-3.30pm (doors open at 1.30), will engage with everyone who wishes to join the group of like-minded, garden and gardening enthusiasts. We will explore what areas of interest people would like covered from techniques and best practice to the great gardens and their gardeners; from the plant hunters to plant breeding; from the cutting garden to flower arranging and so on.
As well as contributions from our own membership, there will be speakers, garden visits, nursery visits and even the odd quiz or two. Over time, we would hope to offer as broad a scope of interest as possible.
The group leader is Susan Sedgebeer
