Welcome to our Photography Group
***We begin the New Term with a Special Announcement ***
Our Leader of Thirteen Years, Roger Mead, has found it necessary to step down for general health reasons. He has devoted this time to teach us so much about Photography ,a much loved subject of his,from basics to technical advancements but most importantly, to simply go out and enjoy taking 'Good Photographs'. Roger was also our Leader for our 'Stroll With A Camera' and 'Senior Snapper Facebook' for some considerable time. He is still happy to continue to edit PhotoNews which covers both Groups. In his absence he has entrusted us,his members, with continuing with running his much loved Group. He will always be made welcome and our door will forever be open to him. Thank you for all that you have done for us over the years, Roger.

If you are new to photography or more experienced and wish to learn and improve your knowledge and techniques,this is an excellent opportunity to come and see what we do at our sessions. Our Photography Group has planned a new programme which begins on Tuesday, 13th February {See time and venue details below} taking a new approach to a monthly Meeting to refreshing techniques and learning to improve upon these. We are set an assignment to take photographs on a regular basis which are then viewed at the following meeting. This is followed by a specific talk by one of our members and if there is time to spare we encourage one of our members to give a ten minute on a subject of their choice.Occasionally we are hoping to have a technical or practical session either related to the next assignment or on any subjects which are causing concern or need refreshing.So if you are new to Photography or more experienced and wish to learn and improve your knowledge and techniques, this is an excellent opportunity see what we do at our sessions.

Apr. 9th Assignment : Illusion and Fantasy
Topic : A talk by Peter Macpherson on Exposure and Metering Title to be confirmed with Peter.
Due to unforeseen circumstances June has found it necessary to reschedule her talk to another date. We will, of course keep you posted about this. This will be replaced with Peter taking a selection photographs for our new webpage later in the Year

Stroll with a Camera
Is our other photographic group which meets to take a short stroll to locations that present opportunities to photograph a wide range of subjects.
