The group meets at the United Church on Heaton Moor Road, Heaton Moor on a Thursday morning, once a month.
We look at a wide range of inputs across the artistic world. While artists and their works form the majority of contributions, sculpture, art installations and even buildings may be explored with the help of visiting speakers and members who have a specific interest in one of the numerous categories or periods of art and sculpture.
While in my contributions we usually focus on the beliefs and world view of the artist, and how that informs how and what they paint and create, other speakers may take a different approach so our programme varies. You do not need to be an expert but just someone interested in art.
Visits to local galleries and further afield are arranged as the opportunity arises.
