Welcome to the website of the Heatons and Reddish U3A. The group was launched in August 1989 and now has a lively membership of approx. 330 involved in a variety of Study and Activity groups. The Heatons and Reddish area is just to the north of Stockport Town and a few miles out from the centre of Manchester. Primarily seen as a fine example of a Victorian Commuter Suburb, it has frequent bus, rail and tram connections to the City with its libraries, Universities and concert halls.
Members are encouraged to contribute their skills, knowledge and experience to shared learning. They may be a learner in one group and organiser/group leader or even a tutor in another. You can share your expertise gained from a working life or have some hobby which you are willing to share with others. Activities within the Group cater for practical skills, social projects, physical and leisure pursuits as well as academic subjects.
