German pre-intermediate

Group Leader: Laura Carter

Meetings are now at our new venue, Burnley Central Library Downstairs Reference Room, Burnley

The German group is a friendly, sociable set of people, attendance varies between 5 and 7. Each session is free at the moment but please bring your own drink. The level of experience of German is very varied, some people have previous knowledge from school and some have learned German at night school or through visits to Germany. This range of knowledge enables us to help each other. We only meet twice a month on 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month fom 1-3pm. As regular pratice is important, optional homework is given and usually it is done!

As a basis for study we are currently using a book of pre-intermediate German stories, Talk German 2 and other materials. We aim to include everyone as we complete various activities around the books, which may include reading, writing, speaking and listening and we even touch on grammar but no need to be scared! Although there are different strengths within the group we all seem to be able to take something from the session.

For more information contact Laura Carter by text on 07957771316 and I will call you back.
