The Local Heritage Group meets on the fourth Friday of the month at 10.30 at various venues.
During the summer months we are usually out and about exploring our diverse county and its near neighbours. Activities include guided walks, visiting heritage sites, investigating buildings and finding out about the life of local people both past and present.
In the winter months activities move indoors. Meetings usually take place in Branston Church Hall and consist of talks on a wide range of subjects. Several of our winter meetings are “open” and we invite all members of Branston U3A to come along. These events are advertised in the newsletter, on the website and at the monthly general meetings.
At the request of members, we often extend the monthly event by staying on for lunch/refreshments. This gives members the opportunity to discuss the morning’s activity as well as to socialise and relax together. Whilst everyone is welcome, there is no obligation to attend.
