Railway
The Railway Group meets each week on Monday evenings at 7.30pm at the home of one of our members.
We have a flexible arrangement, so if a planned meeting looks to be unviable, it will be cancelled or changed. If you are thinking of attending, please contact the Convenor, James Hewson, for the latest information. Alternatively, check details on the Events Page.
We are focussing on building a OO gauge version of the local Branston & Heighington Station back in the days when it was active. We hope to have it prepared to exhibition quality so that we can display it to the public. The meetings also provide opportunities to discuss members' own layouts, research and so on - and anything relating to railways and beyond.
A small fee might be payable depending on circumstances.
In November 2022, some of the Group members had a memorable three days at Britain's largest model railway exhibition, Warley Show, at the National Exhibition Centre, with one of the member's layout, Spilsby. - a replica of the station at the Lincolnshire market town of Spilsby in the 1900 - 1920 era.
