Branston & District

Art Appreciation

We have a relaxed meeting format where members can, and do, suggest ideas and subjects for meetings.
Recent topics have included Self Portraits, Seascapes and L. S. Lowry. Occasional outside visits to art galleries and local artist's studios have also been arranged.

We are very lucky to have in our group someone who used to teach both Art and the History of Art, and who has a considerable collection of presentations on a wide range of artistic subjects. However this does not preclude group member participation - quite the opposite!

Meetings are held in the Sports Pavilion, Moor Lane, Branston on the morning of the third Friday in the month, commencing at 10am. Refreshments are included in the meeting, for which there is a small charge.

During the summer months we may go on outings to galleries, exhibitions and displays.
