Branston & District U3A was formed in the Spring of 2004 with around 40 members. It was originally established to serve the triangle of villages of Branston, Heighington and Washingborough situated some 5 miles south-east of Lincoln. Membership grew rapidly as more and more interest groups were formed and we now attract our members from a much wider area in and around Lincoln. The annual membership fee is £13.00 and £24.50 for joint membership at the same address and our membership year runs from 1 February with two months' overlap to 31 March.
Membership is open to those who have retired from full-time employment. It is not related to a specific age but to a period in one’s life (the third age) after the second age of full-time employment and parental responsibility To request a membership form please go to the Contact page and send your details to 'Membership'
A wide range of Groups is offered, some sufficiently popular to have been split into two. Details of these are given on the Groups page. Smaller groups meetings are held in members' homes, larger indoor groups in The Sports Pavilion on Moor Lane in Branston and other local halls. Outdoor group venues are usually set by their Group Convenors. A table is set out at the monthly meetings detailing all the groups, their convenors and forms for each group's membership. The Group Co-ordinator is available for discussion and advice.

The Group holds its Monthly General Meeting on the 4th Tuesday in every month, 1.30pm for 2.00pm. You can find more details, including details of the talks for each meeting, on the Monthly Meetings page.
