Latin

------------------------------------

Please note that this Group is meeting via Zoom during Covid restrictions

------------------------------------

The Latin Group has been running for nearly a year now, and we are definitely making progress in our Latin studies.

As a group we have now decided to meet weekly instead of fortnightly.

We normally have two Zoom sessions on a Friday: in future the first one, at 2pm, will be Latin Language.

The second Zoom session, at 2.45pm, will be Latin History and Culture. In advance of each session we will read a chapter (or so) of Sir Rupert Jackson's book 'The Roman Occupation of Britain and its Legacy' (Bloomsbury 2020) and will discuss it in the Zoom meeting. Should lockdown ever end, we look forward to visiting some of the locations discussed.

The History and Culture sessions will start on Friday 5 March 2021.

We will welcome new members to either or both sessions.

For more information and to find out how to join us please contact Anne Pickersgill or Groups Coordinator
