Theatre

This Group has a membership of over 50.

At present all we tend to do is support our local amateur dramatic society – Titchfield Festival Theatre. We get a very good ticket concession when booked through u3a – all you do is pay at the box office on the night.

This is probably now one of the best and largest amateur theatres in the UK. There are more than twenty different productions during the year, and these are in the Oak and Acorn theatres in St Margaret’s Lane Titchfield and the Barn in Mill Street Titchfield. A new larger theatre is to be constructed at St Margaret’s Lane hopefully later this year.

The Group could organise trips to other theatres, but this does require organising well in advance. This could be achieved with additional help,

David Knight and Jan Slawson.
