Greetings from the Wildlife group whose members are enthusiastic about all things wildlife.
This group has proved very popular and is currently full but if you are interested in joining please get in touch so that we can let you know if a vacancy arises. There is also the possibility of forming a second group if there is enough interest.
Meetings are monthly (2nd Monday),
Outdoor visits usually meet on site 2pm, car sharing is encouraged. For safety reasons and to avoid unnecessary disturbance to wildlife, we have a no dog policy.
Indoor meetings generally take place in Hexham starting at 2.30pm
There are occasional exceptions to meeting times, members will be kept informed with monthly updates as arrangements are made.

2024 (provisional)
January 8th - A Winter Walk in Gateshead’s Derwent Valley Country Park, Winlaton Mill .
February 12th - Carole's talk will introduce us to the shingle beach plants on the East Kent coastline.
March 11th^ - Guest speaker John Halliday will introduce us to the wildlife at the Liddells before we visit in May
April 8th - Morning visit to Apperley Woodland in spring, an early session for birds, and later for plants etc
May 13th^ - Visit to the Liddells (see March)
June 10th - TBC Day trip to Upper Teesdale to see some of the special flora, and look out for upland birds.
July 8th - TBC - visit to The Spetchells, Prudhoe Tyne Riverside
August ( tbc no 2nd Monday meeting)
September 9th - TBC Day trip to visit Chillingham Park & Wild Cattle is suggested - Watch this space
October 14th - TBC Members meeting (or fungus foray)
November 11th - TBC Members meeting
December 9th^ - TBC A wildlife 'Cabinet of Curiosities'
~Extras~ There are likely to be opportunistic events in between times
