{First Friday Walkers} (previously Morning Walkers)

The group meets on the first Friday of the month for a walk of about three to five miles, usually starting at 10.30 am, and taking 1½ to 2 hours to complete. The goal is a sit-down lunch, at a Pub or Restaurant, and then drive home for a well-earned nap in the afternoon (for some of us). The walks tend to be within a 15 to 20 mile radius of Bideford, but sometimes we venture further afield. They can be circular or linear, mostly on footpaths, and might include the occasional stile and steepish slopes. Members of the group take it in turns to find and lead a walk and, most importantly, to research the watering hole at the end.
NB. Sorry, dogs are not allowed on these walks.
