Genealogy (Family history)
The genealogy group meets on the last Monday of the month from 2pm to 4pm in the convener's home. Although it is a relatively new group it is already very popular and it is not possible at the moment to take new members. There is a waiting list, so please contact the convener if you are interested.
Below are example of the sort of photograph which many families have.

Murders took place in Hungerford 1876 in which two police officers were killed by poachers. Sergeant Justice, then a new recruit took an active part apprehending the criminals. The poachers were later hanged. There is very interesting and detailed account of the murders and trial on a site, Hungerford Virtual Museum police murders
