Book Club 2
We are sad not to be able to meet in person during Covid19 restrictions, but WE ARE STARTING TO ZOOM IN JULY!!
This new book club started in January 2020 as the original book club is full. We will usually meet in the lounge at Great Barn Court, or in people's homes if it is not available, on the second Thursday of each month, from 2-4.
Our first book in January was Moving by Jenny Éclair; and in February In the Dark by Deborah Moggach was the topic for some lively discussion. March's book was Big Sky a new best-seller by Kate Atkinson.
The group take turns in bringing three titles - either actual books or information about them - for the group to choose one from for the following month. The group is growing and the membership will be kept below 10, so that everyone has the chance to have their say about each book.
April's book was The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
Members get books from the library, on Kindle, or from Abebooks or Amazon, or from charity shops, but that takes more time and luck!
We will be meeting on Zoom at 2 pm on Thursday 9th of July when we will be discussing 'The Flower Girls' by Alice Clark-Platts, a psychological thriller. Hope to see you then!
