I can't draw

There is an increasing awareness of the effect of the arts on wellbeing. Very few people choose art as a hobby when they retire, however, dismissing it as something that they cannot do. As a converted ‘non-believer’ myself, I know that we all can ‘do it’ (though some better than others).

I would like to introduce you to this basic skill that you can take forward into the rest of your life. Leave technological gizmos behind for a while and reconnect with the world through simple paper and pencil.

Meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month between 10 and 12 noon, initially at my house. This limits the numbers but I intend holding more ‘taster’ sessions and, if and when justified, we may rent a larger room.

I would like to reassure you that this group is very much for beginners and there will be no pressure to produce works of art - If you do, you’re probably ready to move to another group!
