History Visits

Joint Group Leaders: Margaret Patterson and Lyn Rutter

This group visits historic sites and places of interest that include military, social and industrial history in the Highlands / Moray area. Members will volunteer individually, or in pairs, to arrange a visit that could be of interest to members e.g. castles, battlefields, museums, manufacturing bases, landmarks. Visits will generally take place between late-Spring and Autumn - mainly on the 3rd Friday of each month but subject to change if the venue is not open on a Friday.

Dates and locations of upcoming visits:
Fridays 17th May - Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin
21st June - Fort George Military Museum
19th July - Guided tour of Inverness City Centre
16th August and 20th September - tbc.

Car sharing will be encouraged and travel directions, costs, accessibility information etc will be provided in advance.
