Walking
A walk, plenty of conversation, followed by an optional pub lunch
We meet fortnightly on a Monday morning at the walk start. Car sharing can be arranged.
Members take it in turns to lead circular walks of between 4 and 5 miles, usually in the local area though we do occasionally venture further afield. Each walk is followed by a pub lunch or a picnic for those who wish to stay.
Walking boots are essential. Many of us find a walking pole useful. Be prepared for all weathers although we don't walk if weather is clearly not good. Always bring water and we have a stop midway so bring coffee and a snack.
Details such as where the walk is starting and going, length, terrain, number of stiles and pub are posted to our WhatsApp group or emailed to those that don't use WhatsApp a few days in advance of the walk.
