Really Useful Group (RUG)
You may not have heard of this group before, but it’s essential to the smooth-running of our u3a. Without it, there would be no chairs to sit on at our monthly meetings, no-one to welcome members and visitors to our engaging monthly talks and no-one to prepare, and clear up after, refreshments for people to enjoy before the slides and speaker.
Additionally, printed information to members is provided three times a year and is hand-delivered by a well-structured team.
Sue, the RUG leader, is very impressed with the commitment of the small number of our u3a members who give selflessly of their time to help us all. She’s looking forward to meeting those people and benefitting from their experience as she ‘learns the ropes’ in her new role. Importantly, she’d appreciate the opportunity to meet, and work with, an increasing number of our members during this year as we celebrate the true u3a ethos of active participation.
