Midhurst

Local History

Do you share my fascination with the history of the area where we now live? If so you might be interested in a new group I have started?

I am not suggesting primary research (although that would be welcome) but the researching of the secondary sources on a particular topic such as a small local village e.g. Cocking, Tudor Midhurst, or notable residents, or some aspect of social, or economic history of the area, which I am defining as within 15 miles of Midhurst.

This research would be shared with the group with discussion afterwards - depending on the size of the topic either for a whole meeting, or possibly two topics - one either side of tea/coffee. Maximum group size would be 8 and all members have to be prepared to talk about their research on a rotation basis. We meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 2.30pm
