DAY & TIME3rd MONDAY of the month at 2-4 pm
VENUE Tesco Community Room

Early Medieval History Group 410 – 1066 CE
The group will explore the period from the departure of the Roman legions (410CE) to the arrival of William the Conqueror (1066CE). This will include the Anglo Saxon and Viking invasions and will look at the development of Great Britain during this time.
We will also research key personalities, cultural developments, and the contributions of archaeology.

The monthly sessions will be based on members contributing papers on topics agreed in advance.
This will amount to everyone presenting 2/3 papers each year.
Ideally two papers will be presented at each meeting lasting about 20 minutes each, with time for discussion and a break between papers.

We are all here to learn, but also have a pleasurable afternoon.

🔸The Group now has vacancies for anyone interested.
Please contact the Group Leader for further information.
