Reigate and Banstead Borough Council

The lines are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The Council has a dedicated team of advisers who can direct you to sources of help or organise assistance from the team of support workers and trained volunteers.
Mirthy are an organisation who specialise in talks very similar to those we usually have at our monthly meetings. They even use some of the same speakers. They have public talks every Tuesday at 4pm. Some are free, and others have a charge of £2.99 but have some opportunities for interaction with the speaker. To see their latest programme, click on the link.

Duolingo Fun language learning site for all ages.
Youtube Great for exercise videos to keep you moving. Just search for yoga, tai chi, seniors’ exercise or whatever you fancy. You can find a video on almost anything on YouTube, including various U3A videos.
BBC Sounds To listen again to any BBC radio programme, podcast, audiobooks etc. Free.
KEEPING IN TOUCH
Zoom Conference call software widely used in the U3A community. We are now using Zoom for meetings in Horley U3A. Basic instructions for using it are on the link top right.
WhatsApp Fast, simple, messaging and calling for free, available on all mobile phones..
Whypay Free conference call software which allows three or more people speaking on the telephone together at the same time. Good for people who don’t have internet access or aren’t confident using it.
