Our group usually meets for 2 hours, once a fortnight on a Wednesday morning at members’ houses. We spend roughly an hour chatting in Spanish (as much as possible!) about what we have been up to; hobbies, holidays, local issues and plans for the future. Following a break for tea/coffee and biscuits, we take it in turns to read and translate paragraphs from an article one of us has sourced from Spanish media - it could be about politics, science, technology, art - anything that’s current.
Although we are not completely fluent speakers, we have a reasonably good grasp of the language and strive to help each other to improve our conversational Spanish whilst also having fun.
