Italian for Beginners
Italian for beginners does exactly what it says on the tin! Starting from zilch and assuming no knowledge of Italian or how to learn a foreign language we give a solid grounding in the basics of the language.
We use the free Duolingo app on our smartphones tablets or laptops and meet twice monthly at the Lairgate Hotel (2nd and 4th Mondays at 11 am) for an hour or so to support one another, dare to speak Italian, reinforce what has been learned solo, solve problems and answer questions.
We aim to prepare you to go on holiday to Tuscany and be ready to confidentiality go to the restaurant, bar, supermarket or local small town and not make a complete hash of ordering a meal, a glass of wine, or buying a tube of toothpaste!
